1. Who can take this tour?
This tour is suitable for all individuals aged 5 and above. Legally, we cannot accommodate children under 5 years old on our tuktuk tours. We do not recommend this tour for pregnant women due to Lisbon’s uneven roads. One alternative for families with younger children might be taking the same tour by van.
2. What is the maximum capacity per tuktuk?
The maximum capacity for a single tuktuk is 6 people. In some cases, customers may find it tight. Therefore, we suggest reviewing photos of different tuk-tuks with 6 people seated to better understand the seating arrangement.
3. We are a large group interested in taking a tuktuk tour. Can we book multiple tuktuks?
Yes, we can accommodate tuktuk tours for groups of various sizes without any issue, with multiple tuktuks and guides following the same itinerary together. If you require customization or have specific requirements, please feel free to contact us.
4. I have mobility issues. Can I take this tour?
The tuktuk has a significant step, making it challenging for those with mobility issues (especially knee and joint problems). Please also note that the tour is not wheelchair accessible. If this applies to you, we recommend considering alternatives for your comfort. Lisbon streets, often paved with cobblestones, can be uneven. Although our guides are careful, clients with back or neck problems may find the movements during the tour uncomfortable. If this also applies to you, we recommend choosing another option for your comfort.
5. Are the tours customizable?
Yes! For each tour, we have a suggested itinerary, but our guides can always adapt the tour considering each client’s specific interests or if, for example, they are already familiar with certain parts of the itinerary.
6. Are entrance fees to the main monuments included during the tour?
Our tours aim to give our clients a comprehensive view of the city. However, in most tours and itineraries, time does not allow for an in-depth visit inside certain monuments. Although, if there is interest, we can always visit the Estrela Basilica or the Jerónimos Church. It’s not possible during a tour to visit the interior of the Belém Tower or the Jerónimos Monastery, as visiting these monuments requires at least an hour, which would make it unfeasible to complete the rest of the itinerary. However, we will always provide clients with the historical and cultural context of the monuments, as well as time to appreciate the monuments and take photos during our stops.
7. Does the tour include any snacks or drinks?
Our tours include several stops where our guides give you the opportunity to try various typical aspects of Portugal, such as the pastéis de Belém, the cod pastry or ginja. However, the cost is not included in the tour price, as it is optional for those who wish to try them.
8. In case of rain, is the tour canceled?
Our tuktuks have transparent rain covers that can be used in case of rain. We also provide umbrellas if there is a forecast of rain on the day of your tour. In very specific (and rare) cases of severe weather conditions with heavy rain, and if safety conditions require it (if it’s not recommended to drive), we always give the client the option to reschedule or proceed with cancellation and refund of the tour price.
9. Could you please provide details on your cancellation policy?
We understand plans can change. If you need to cancel, we offer a full refund when done so at least 24 hours prior to departure.
10. Do you offer pick-ups?
Yes, we offer pick-up services from hotels and Airbnbs located in Lisbon’s city center. If you’re staying outside the city center, we have a convenient standard meeting point at Avenida Liberdade 3, Lisbon.
If you’re unsure whether your address is within the city center, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
