The journey
The medieval old town where Lisbon was born, then the bohemian quarter — quiet by day, lively by night.

The cathedral, the lanes of Alfama and Graça, and the old town seen from Portas do Sol and Senhora do Monte.

Carmo Square, the view from São Pedro de Alcântara and the streets once roamed by Lisbon’s poets and writers.

The long view down Avenida da Liberdade from Parque Eduardo VII, and the dome of the Basilica da Estrela.
Medieval Lisbon
A visit to the ancient cathedral of Lisbon. See the history in its walls and the marks of the changes caused by catastrophe.
This is the Lisbon postcard moment! See the picturesque view over Alfama and the riverside from the best vantage point you could possibly get to!
Get to see the complete 180º panorama that every local calls the best view of Lisbon. Learn about each district and get a taste for the areas that you can visit while in Lisbon!
Discover the distinct allure of Graça, an often overlooked gem in Lisbon’s old town. While Alfama may claim fame, Graça unveils its own charms, boasting a noble past and a character all its own. Delve into its rich history and uncover the elegance that defines this historic district.
Experience the true essence of Lisbon with a visit to this essential stop! Discover the birthplace of Lisbon and its last bastion of authenticity in this cosmopolitan city. Don’t miss the chance to savor the traditional “ginja” alongside your guide for an authentic taste of local culture.
Bohemian Lisbon
At Carmo Square, witness history etched in stone as the ruins of the Carmo Convent stand as poignant reminders of the devastating 1755 earthquake. Beside these ancient remnants, you’ll find the headquarters of GNR where we delve into the stirring narrative of the Portuguese revolution, a courageous journey towards freedom and democracy that unfolded in this very location.
See the view over downtown and the hills of Alfama and Graça right across from you. You won’t find a better view of the Castle anywhere else in Lisbon.
We’ll pass by the theatre quarter of the city with time to enjoy the places once roamed by the poets and writers of this cultured city.
West to Estrela
Look upon the valley with a clear view all the way down Avenida da Liberdade to the river. This one is hard to beat.
The Basilica da Estrela, with its striking dome towering over Lisbon’s skyline, is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture. Adorned with intricate marble and gilded details, this splendid church captivates visitors with its grandeur and beauty.

From start to finish we had such a great time. Pedro exudes knowledge and passion and excitement for his native Portugal. A natural storyteller and instant friend, he shared stories and anecdotes and historical tidbits we didn’t know. We came to love Lisbon even more.
★★★★★
Our tour with Mario Pereira was probably the best city tour we’ve ever taken. Mario is incredibly knowledgeable about Lisbon and its history. Rather than simply pointing out the sights as we passed, he brought the city to life by weaving together its history like a storyteller.
★★★★★
My two friends and I booked this private tuk tuk tour over Labor Day weekend, and it was one of the highlights of our girls’ trip! Our guide, Pinto, was wonderful — knowledgeable, personable, funny, and clearly passionate about Lisbon.
★★★★★
Me, my husband and 89 yr old mother in law had a fabulous time being shown the history and highlights of beautiful Lisbon. Nuno Miranda was a fabulous tour guide and beyond kind to us, even lending an arm to my mother in law when needed.
★★★★★
Marcos was phenomenal. He knew everything about the city and was able to answer all of our questions. The tuk tuk was very comfortable and fit my family of four with plenty of room. The best part was Marcos’s insider knowledge.
★★★★★
We had an amazing tuk-tuk tour of Lisbon with Filipe! From the moment we met him, he was incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome throughout the entire tour. His happy, friendly, and pleasant attitude made the experience feel like we were exploring the city with a local friend.
★★★★★
Tiago was so much more than just our tuk-tuk guide—he was our driver, teacher, entertainer, and at times, roller coaster operator! From the moment our tour began, he was fun, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable.

Good to know
This tour is suitable for all individuals aged 7 and above. Legally, we cannot accommodate children under 7 years old on our tuktuk tours. We do not recommend this tour for pregnant women due to Lisbon’s uneven roads. One alternative for families with younger children might be taking the same tour by van.
Our tours are offered in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French.
The maximum capacity for a single tuktuk is 6 people. In some cases, customers may find it tight. Therefore, we suggest reviewing photos of different tuk-tuks with 6 people seated to better understand the seating arrangement.
Yes, we can accommodate tuktuk tours for groups of various sizes without any issue, with multiple tuktuks and guides following the same itinerary together. If you require customization or have specific requirements, please feel free to contact us.
The tuktuk has a significant step, making it challenging for those with mobility issues (especially knee and joint problems). Please also note that the tour is not wheelchair accessible. If this applies to you, we recommend considering alternatives for your comfort. Lisbon streets, often paved with cobblestones, can be uneven. Although our guides are careful, clients with back or neck problems may find the movements during the tour uncomfortable. If this also applies to you, we recommend choosing another option for your comfort.
Yes! For each tour, we have a suggested itinerary, but our guides can always adapt the tour considering each client’s specific interests or if, for example, they are already familiar with certain parts of the itinerary.
Our tours aim to give our clients a comprehensive view of the city. However, in most tours and itineraries, time does not allow for an in-depth visit inside certain monuments. Although, if there is interest, we can always visit the Estrela Basilica or the Jerónimos Church. It’s not possible during a tour to visit the interior of the Belém Tower or the Jerónimos Monastery, as visiting these monuments requires at least an hour, which would make it unfeasible to complete the rest of the itinerary. However, we will always provide clients with the historical and cultural context of the monuments, as well as time to appreciate the monuments and take photos during our stops.
Our tours include several stops where our guides give you the opportunity to try various typical aspects of Portugal, such as the pastéis de Belém, the cod pastry or ginja. However, the cost is not included in the tour price, as it is optional for those who wish to try them.
Our tuktuks have transparent rain covers that can be used in case of rain. We also provide umbrellas if there is a forecast of rain on the day of your tour. In very specific (and rare) cases of severe weather conditions with heavy rain, and if safety conditions require it (if it’s not recommended to drive), we always give the client the option to reschedule or proceed with cancellation and refund of the tour price.
We understand plans can change. If you need to cancel, we offer a full refund when done so at least 24 hours prior to departure.
Yes, we offer pick-up services from hotels and Airbnbs located in Lisbon’s city center. If you’re staying outside the city center, we have a convenient standard meeting point at Avenida Liberdade 3, Lisbon.
If you’re unsure whether your address is within the city center, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
